My name is Camille Bernier, I am a clinical nurse by profession as well as an entrepreneur. I'm the founder of the companyEddy's finds. I offer you products for your animals, for you and for your babies. At Eddy's Finds, we are very proud to make handmade products, mainly from recycled or recovered materials, to allow you to spoil your little humans and your little furry ones.
My story
November 2019, William and I welcome Eddy into our lives. Touched by his cute little face, I quickly wanted to spoil him by making him custom toys like digging mats and tugs by hand. In addition to spoiling him, I wanted to create toys adapted to his small size and, thus, allow him to stimulate his development.
People around us, who fell in love with the products I had created, sought to obtain them for their own animals. One thing led to another, word of mouth did its work, putting us in contact with lots of new potential customers.
It was in February 2020, around a little glass of wine with my mother, that the idea of creating the Facebook page came to me.Eddy's finds. Three months later, I opened the Instagram account. This is how an adventure began which consolidated precious links with my family, including my grandmother Rollande who, still today, cuts the thriller intended for making tugs and search mats.
Subsequently, I met an excellent seamstress named Johanne who, with her magical fingers, helped me add to the already existing collection: scarves, ties, bow ties, pipipads, search balls, etc.
In May 2020,Eddy's finds enters the first points of sale, i.e.the Montmagny pet store, the Harmonia veterinary clinic and Pension ZenCanin. What follows is an enriching collaboration with the workers’ cooperative.Horisol who performs part of the assembly of the excavation mats and tugs.
October 2021, another life project gets underway. I have nine months ahead of me to prepare for the arrival of our beautiful Romy. My business still remains a project that takes up a lot of my time, but I have to slow down to prepare the cozy nest of our casserole dish.
December 2021 witnessed my first participation in the Montmagny Christmas Market. Accompanied by my mother and by Romy who is warm in my belly, I had the chance to meet customers with whom I had until now only had contact via the Web.
In April 2022, a few months before Romy's arrival,Eddy's Mini Friends makes its entry into the Trouvailles. A range of products intended for mini humans was then created.
June 2023, I present myself to Facing the dragons from Montmagny. I was lucky enough to receive a scholarship from $1,000 to invest in the company. This grant allowed me to set up a transactional website that greatly improved the customer experience. This new platform will be inaugurated in August 2023.
